To use an ebook, first you need to find the title using iDiscover, remembering that you can search only for ebooks by selecting eBooks from the drop down list in the search bar or by refining your results on the list on the right by selecting Full Text Online (under the heading Availability) and Books (under the heading Resource Type).

Once you have found the title you want, click on the green "Online access" or "Full text available" link on the results screen or in the ebook record.

The link takes you through to the title on the publisher’s website or supplier platform. If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in with your Raven password if you have not already logged into Raven during your browser session.

Some supplier platforms will also prompt you to login with Raven for on campus access.

The typical ebook has a table of contents that can help you to navigate your way through the book, or you can click through the pages yourself. Some suppliers may allow you to download the book, or a chapter to read offline, although usually the time you can do this for is limited; see this LibAnswers FAQ for more information.

Each supplier has a slightly different platform, and tips and instructions on the features of each can be found on the ebooks libguide.
